Description:
Open Studio is a vibrant space where creativity thrives! Students can bring their current artworks in progress to work on/complete! Students can also engage in our Sketchbook Sessions with your sketchbook and favorite drawing supplies.
Sketchbooks are an important foundation for practice and free play for visual art students.
Each week, students will be presented a prompt to practice drawing techniques and improve their artistic ability.
Sketchbook prompts will include the following:
drawing from life
practice combining elements of art: line, shape, color, value, space, form, texture
playing with pattern
drawing from memory
practice shading and value techniques
expressing their creativity

Classes cover many of our TK-5 Visual Arts I Can Statements and grades 6-12 National Visual Art Standards
