GCSE Spanish

Students who choose to study GCSE Spanish build upon their aural, oral, comprehension and writing skills taught at KS3.

At St. Patrick's Grammar School all students sit CCEA examinations in Spanish.

The Modern Foreign Languages Department facilitates and actively promotes our gifted and talented students to study more than one Modern Foreign Language at GCSE level.

There are four modules in the New GCSE Spanish Specification which are each worth 25 %

Resources

At GCSE level our students currently follow the AQA Mira textbook. As the GCSE focuses heavily on grammar and structures additional materials are used alongside the textbook to prepare our students for examinations.
