AS Spanish is a very popular subject at St. Patrick's. Students from humanities and science backgrounds are increasingly aware of the advantages of having a language to further their careers. Students are given the opportunity to spend valuable time with a native speaker three times a week which is unique to St. Patrick's, and are encouraged to attend language courses in Spain.

AS Spanish is comprised of three modules. At AS level, Spanish students study the film "Solas" as an introduction to A-Level literature.

At AS Level we use the AQA A-Level Spanish textbook to deliver the course. Grammar is taught using a variety of books and blended learning.
