Summer Art

Summer Art Challenge

Looking for fun and excitement this summer?

These challenges are designed to keep your Dragon's creative brain playing and growing over the summer break.

They might be fun for a rainy day or for a family outing. Some may require adult supervision.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to complete as many challenges as you can.

More Ideas

Museum Outing: Visit an art museum or gallery anywhere (virtually or in person if possible). Take a selfie, sketch an artwork, or bring in a postcard from the gift shop.

Summer Collage: Create a collage of your summer by collecting photos, maps, tickets, brochures, things from nature, and/or drawings. Glue down your memories, add words, drawing, and painting to enhance the design.

Bookmark Design: Go to the library, check out a book. Design a bookmark about the book that would encourage other students to read it (and include a brief review on the back of the bookmark).

Environmental Art: Use leaves, rocks, sticks, and other natural materials to make a piece of art. Take a photo of your work.

Collaborative Artwork: Create something with a friend or family member. Bring in a photo of you making art together or bring in the actual art.

Have a wonderful and safe summer. Stay active. Stay creative. Have fun! See you in August.

Love, Mrs. R
