• History
  • Describes patterns and chronological order of events of the recent past
  • Demonstrates awareness of family and cultural traditions in the United States in the past and present
• Geography
  • Uses and creates geographic tools such as maps and globes that represent places
  • Describes how people in different groups and communities interact with each other and with the environment
• Economics
  • Identifies job types and various organizations that produce goods or services resulting in earned income
  • Identifies short-term financial goals
• Civics
  • Describes how effective groups have responsible leaders and team members
  • Gives examples of notable people, places, holidays and patriotic symbols
