Daily Slides

Each Daily Slide will provide a guide to what we did in class and where to find the work. Often their are links to the activities and assignments. If you are absent, this is your first stop. The following is in every slide:

New Learning Slides - These are the slides and activities as reviewed in class this day
Today's Activities - in class activities. This is our actual class agenda for the day and the things we actually did.
To Do List - This includes anything you need to do as homework/make-up work and turn in.

Introduction to Business Syllabus

Grade Weighting

Practice and Participation 40% - Just like in the "real world", showing up every day and doing what you are supposed to do counts the most in this class. Most of your success will come from showing up every day and doing the work in class.

Simulator 20% - Understanding you practical application of learned skills in the workplace is a primary objective in this course and therefore they will represent 20% of your grade. Major Grades 30% - Consists of tests on key theory(similar to how you will achieve certifications in your chosen fields), collaborative projects with a team of colleagues(all professions require the ability to work with others-a key professional skill), end of unit research checkpoints, and your daily journal(which is designed to develop your toolset for resiliency, positive mindset, and thriving skills so you can self manage in a professional environment).

The final(10%) represents the conclusion of your course, but the smallest part of your grade. The final consists of your Snip Notes Folio with company research project and recommendations.

Class Calendar

What's Due and When?

Add your class period's google calendar to your personal google calendar view from you calendar in you gmail. You will notice that google assignments are named with the date they were assigned. If you miss a day OR have a missing assignment, you can find the assignments based on the assigned date at the beginning of the name.

Late Policy

There will be various cut offs for late work throughout the semester(i.e. quarter end). If you want to turn in late work, and your are within my communicated cut off time frame, I will still accept it without point penalty. HOWEVER, the process to get your grade into the grade book is as follows:

Write a private comment in our google classroom letting me know that you have turned in the assignment, NOT AN EMAIL.
Come in during my office hours, before or after school, or during tutor time and show me your work. Once you have done this step, I will enter your grade into Infinate Campus.
