I am a mother of 2. I have a Broomfield High School grad and a senior. My family and community are my world. I love everything about being outside: hiking, tennis, skiing, scuba diving, plants and gardening. Nature is my happy place, and a book and a beach is my favorite! I’m currently working on my masters in Teacher Leadership at CU Boulder, so I am a student too! 

I am beginning my 4th year as a teacher, which is my 2nd career.  My first career was spent in the high tech industry handling sales and marketing in wireless networking, mobile computer hardware, and spent most of my time in enterprise software.  I transitioned to teaching because I love kids and I wanted to spend my days making a real difference in people's lives. I'm proud to offer college level courses to our community of learners, practical real world perspectives and projects, and a large dose of care and compassion for our kiddos.

My approach to learning is that it should be an absolute blast! I have gamified every aspect of learning in the business content area.  I believe this keeps kids excited, engaged and ultimately they are more enthusiastic to get to class and retain more knowledge.  I hope to see every Broomfield graduate in my class at some point in their high school years and I look forward to getting to know you!
