Every summer, current and former students in the Butte Falls School District are hired to complete a number of tasks around the Natural Resource Center. These tasks are designed to be fun and engaging but also to help prepare for the upcoming school year. In the past, some of these have included things such as: researching plant and animal life for learning stations, landscaping various areas, limbing trees, reducing wildfire fuels, minor construction projects, and repairing a fence. Students look forward to this opportunity every year.
For 2026, the dates are anticipated to be mid July through mid August. More details will be released by April.
