Programming

The basic programming for much of what is taught at the Natural Resource Center is the Oregon Adopted version of the Next Generation Science Standards in 2012.  Each lesson set also uses the National Geographic Geo Inquiry Process as well as pieces of the Place-Based Education model.  Each activity follows our formula:

• A basic background knowledge lesson completed in class.

• Activity at the NRC (taught by middle school students and overseen by their teachers)

• A brief follow-up lesson to be completed in class.
