This has been a short but eventful term for Year 5. We launched our new topic, The Mighty Medway, and have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the rich history of our local area. A highlight was a visit from Jeremy Clarke from the Guildhall Museum, who helped us dive into the topic. In English, we have been studying Great Expectations by Medway’s own Charles Dickens, while in Maths, we've consolidated our understanding of angles and practised using a protractor. In Art and DT, we developed our sketching techniques with river landscapes and created working river models. We also took part in a K'Nex workshop, which was a great success. We’re now looking forward to all the exciting learning and activities coming up in Term 6.
