The WORK SITE
Retains the right to suspend any participant whose performance is unsatisfactory. In this event, reasons for suspension must be documented and dated, and participants must be referred back to the Burbank Unified School District Youth Employment Training Program.
Agrees to provide the participant with supervision, equipment and space at no cost to the Burbank Unified School District.
Our Business Partners agree to the following:
No participant shall displace, partially or otherwise, any currently employed worker.
No participant shall be employed as a result of either a layoff or termination of a regular employee.
No participant shall be employed to relieve a regular employee to perform other tasks or duties.
No participant activity shall be created in any manner that will infringe in any way upon the promotional opportunities of current employees.
No participant activity shall impair existing contracts for service or collective bargaining agreements.
No participant activity shall augment the employer’s profit.
No participant shall be paid for unworked hours or recreational activities.
Adequate supervision and meaningful training for each participant.
An appropriate variety of on-the-job training tasks/responsibilities.
The work site will inform the student and school job coaching staff of rules, regulations, and duties expected of the student-client trainee.
Adherence to all regulations governing the Youth Employment Training Program.
A safe and healthy work environment.
Adequate orientation of all immediate supervisors which specifies their respective duties and responsibilities.
Consideration of student worker for part time employment after completion of student training hours if economically feasible and if the student meets requirements for direct hire.
Abide by all local, state and federal laws/regulations pertaining to employment and child labor.
Compliance with CA Education Code.
Participant shall not work on the construction, operation or maintenance of any facility as is used for sectarian instruction or as a place for religious worship.
Acceptance and assignment of participants to jobs without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or handicap.
