Prior to competing in the Bulloch Regional Student Technology Fair, each participating students/teams should:
- Identify a purpose. Explore a topic that is intensely interesting.
 - Think carefully about the best means of communicating the project's big idea with others. Look through the categories and select one category that will clearly communicate the project's main idea.
 - Review the rubric that our judges will use to assess projects.
 - Select a design process best suited to the work that needs to be accomplished. Examples include:
 - Conduct research on the topic/project and document that research. Doing this demonstrates intellectual humbleness. The Big6 information problem-solving model may be helpful.
- Keep a log, journal, and/or digital portfolio with different versions of project work.
 - Search the school's Media Center's (or community's library) holdings.
 - Use GALILEO to conduct research and cite sources.
 - When and if possible resources and expertise from local/regional public library systems.
 - Consider contacting one of the Georgia Youth Science and Technology Centers (GYSTC) for assistance.
 - Reach out to and communicate with experts about the project's topic.

 - Select the technological resources that will be most helpful in crafting and communicating the project's big idea.
 - Work on their projects and periodically save versions of their work so as to be able to demonstrate growth over time. Use the appropriate rubric to review the work.
 - Occasionally answer questions about their project that judges are likely to ask.
 - If enrolled at a school, submit the work to the school level Tech Fair.
 - When registration opens (in October) complete the 2020 Bulloch Regional Technology Fair Registration form by or before November 22nd.
