Prior to the Regional Student Technology Fair, each participating school should:
- Choose a school-level coordinator. In all likelihood, this may be a person who has been a coordinator/contact person in previous years.
- Plan the school-level event. Set the date, time, and seek judges.
- Publicize your school level Tech Fair and share information about the date/time/location of the Bulloch Regional Student Technology Fair (January 18th, 2020, 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Julia P. Bryant Elementary School, 421 West Main Street, Statesboro, Georgia).
- Choose judges for your school-level event.
- Ask judges to complete the Regional Student Technology Fair Volunteer Form.
- Plan to view student projects in a room with a Windows 7 computer where students can be interviewed during the school day. Please keep in mind that some students may bring computers from home (robotics, device modification, etc.). It may be best to offer time slots for these students early in the morning or immediately after school since parents may be bringing in computers or equipment from home.
- Conduct your school-level competition.
- Choose the best 4 projects from each category/division.
- Make sure that students advancing from your school-level preliminary rounds register online. The deadline to register is November 22nd, 2019. To ensure accuracy, school coordinators should enter and submit this information.
