Buckeye is implementing a new program called HOPE Squad over the next year in the High School. Hope Squad is a school-based peer-to-peer, suicide prevention program for students. The goal of the program is: To improve mental health education while reducing stigma; Reach students in need quickly and intentionally; To normalize help-seeking for emotional distress;
Help facilitate access to care, allowing students to get the right help at the right time; To educate and engage parents in suicide prevention.
