Job Shadowing
Job shadowing is when a student observes a professional in their workplace to learn about a specific career and its daily responsibilities. It is important for high school students because it helps them explore career interests, make informed decisions about their future, and build connections in the professional world. You can find information on job shadowing opportunities, procedures, questions, recommendations, etc.
College Visits
Review the process on how to arrange college visit opportunities, both virtual and in-person; which helps students explore their post-secondary options and connect with admissions representatives.
Community Service
Community service involves volunteering time and effort to help others or improve the community without expecting payment. It is important because it strengthens community bonds, addresses local needs, and encourages civic responsibility and empathy among individuals.
Graduation Requirements

Academic & Career Planning
Review the resources and events that students will be participating in throughout the year. This includes events that aim to set academic and career goals, planning coursework, and preparing for life after high school. Throughout the 2025/26 ACP plan, students will go on college & career tours, participate in lunch and learns, mock interviews, financial planning, resume & cover letter workshops, and many other various career planning events.
Youth Apprenticeship
Youth apprenticeship is a structured program that combines classroom instruction with paid, hands-on work experience in a specific career field. It allows students to gain real-world skills, earn industry credentials, and potentially receive college credit while still completing their high school education.
