Physical Geography

The physical geography in Haiti is mainly mountains and lakes. Pic la Selle is the largest peak in Haiti, height is about 2,680 meters(8,793 ft). Lake Peligre is the second largest lake, the largest is Etang Saumatre with an area of 65.64 miles.

Population

The population in Haiti is 10.85 million as of 2016. Most of the population if African American. The population is increasing 1.3 percent.

Tourism

Popular destinations in Haiti is the capital city, Port au Prince. Also Cap Haitien, Labadee, and Jacmel.

Environmental/Agriculture

Environment degradation is a huge threat to the environment. The crops they grow are mainly Cassava, Plantains and Bananas, Corn, Yams, Sweet Potatoes, and Rice.

Wildlife

The animals in Haiti are Solendon, hutia, hogs, horses(domestic animals), whales, dolphins, manatees, sharks, eels, angelfish, barracudas, grouper, sponges, lobsters, snapper, crabs, flamingos, ducks, pigeons, egrets, lizards, crocodiles, turtles, snakes, iguanas, frogs, and butterflies.

Arts/Culture

Haitian culture are mostly African and European. Haitian arts also known as Haitian Renaissance started in 1944 by Dewitt Peters.
