Physical Geography

The Maya Mountains are along the coast at an elevation of 3,688 feet. They have some coastal plains. In the lowland they have a lot of rivers, streams, and swamps. Belize also a lot of island's because they are by the Caribbean Sea. They have a lot of rain forests.

What types of people

Belizeans are people who were from Belize their whole life. They also have residents with African, Amerindian, Europeans, and Asian descent.

Is the population growing

Yes the population is growing at a rate of 2.5% per year. By the year 2020 the population of Belize is projected to have 390,000 people.

How many people

They are about 366,000 people in the country of Belize. The most population coming from Belize City with about 61,000. The next biggest is only about 16,000 San Ignacio. There are a bunch of young people who are traveling ages 10 to 24. There are about the same number of Males and Females.

Tourism

It is great for tourism because there is a lot of natural land and beautiful sites. Like Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker, Actun Tunichil Muknal, and The Great Blue Hole. There are about 800,000 people that go and tour the country a year.

Environment/Agriculture

They are a pretty poor country. They are trying to get out of poverty. But the environment is suffering from it because they are drilling oil out of the ground. They lose 48 miles a year of rain forest due to tourism. They grow sugar, bananas, citrus, and marine products.

Wildlife

There cats are Bobcats, Jaguar, and pumas. They also have Monkeys, a Tapir is like a mountain cow, some Wild Pigs, Iguana, Snakes, birds, and a lot of Marine animals.

Arts/Culture/Langue

For arts they paint a lot about the land they live on. There are a bunch of different cultures because there is a lot of tourists that choose to live there because they like it there. They speak English in Belize. They eat foods like beans, rice, fruit cake, and potato salad.
