There are so many possible styles that you may choose to use for your portfolio. What ever you choose, you want to make sure it doesn't look like a grade 2 Powerpoint Presentation with lots of colour and distracting items. Here are a few tips for creating a site that can be proud of.
Themes
There are themes available by clicking on the right side menu (Insert, Pages, Themes). When you select this you can also edit your font colours, page colours etc. You can change the font style as well.
Colours
Select a colour theme that can be used throughout the site. Examples of site to get the colour codes:

Header Images
You want to announce to the public what each page contains. You can do this with an image or just by using words. Sometimes you may want to use a combination of both. Whichever you choose, you want to make sure the colours are the same as the ones you have selected for your theme.
