Kids and baseball go together like hot dogs and apple pie. The Rumble Ponies will capture the students’ enthusiasm for baseball by demonstrating the many educational opportunities during a game. These would include reading a box score, computing a batting average, calculating a pitcher’s ERA, to name just a few. Baseball is truly a game of numbers, and the applications are almost endless. The history of baseball, especially in Binghamton can be an excellent research topic.
