Addie Hunter is a young woman who shares the harrowing story of her teenage struggle with vaping to warn others about its severe health risks. After a history of heavy use, Addie suffered a life-threatening emergency when her left lung collapsed. Doctors discovered that vaping had caused blisters to form on her lungs—a condition that nearly cost her, her life. Through her website, and her school assemblies, she now serves as a dedicated advocate, providing resources and sharing her journey to highlight how quickly the habit can lead to critical respiratory failure and permanent damage.

Description:
Addison Hunter leads assemblies that walk students through her story in a powerful, engaging way. She starts with a slide presentation that shows real pictures and videos from the incident and explain exactly what happened to her. She talks openly about how vaping ruined her basketball career and the path she had worked so hard for. The session includes a fun, interactive game that helps students understand her journey and how quickly it was destroyed by vaping. She also breaks down what’s actually found in vapes, the serious side effects, and what life looked like after getting sick. By sharing her testimony and story, she teaches students to be stronger than their own mind, rise above peer pressure, and make choices that protect their future.
