The Villain's Moustache is a lively old-time melodrama set in the heyday of hobos, railroads, heroines in distress, and moustache twirling villains. Audience participation is encouraged and children love to shout advice to the hapless heroes. The play touches upon historical themes as the heroine comes from the farm into the city to find a job during hard times

Creating Rod Puppets with Catskill Puppet Theater is a puppet construction workshop that teaches students how to build, operate and create a personality for their very own rod puppet. Catskill Puppet Theater brings professional quality materials and expertise to the classroom and the results are often amazing! The puppet building workshop can be extended into a multi day/week residency that includes play writing, scenery building, stage building and performance techniques for the puppet theater which can also culminate in an original performance by the students.

Creating Shadow Puppets with Catskill Puppet Theater is a shadow puppet construction workshop that teaches students how to construct, operate and perform with shadows. Catskill Puppet Theater brings a portable shadow stage, lighting and sound and guides students through the process of creating and putting on a show with their very own puppets. Shadow puppetry is ideal for telling stories and the students can take the techniques they learn and apply them in school or at home. The workshop can also be extended into a multi day residency culminating in a performance by the students.

'Explore the Art of Puppetry' is a demonstration workshop that gives students an understanding of the different styles of puppetry and the skills that go into writing a play and producing a show using puppets, including the technology required for building puppets and engineering light and sound.
Featuring shadow puppets, hand puppets, rod puppets, marionettes and a giant parade figure, the workshop is designed to give students a better appreciation for puppet theater and to inspire them to create their own shows. Ideally the workshop is paired with a performance by Catskill Puppet Theater.
