Hello, families and friends of BMS! The final days of the 2024-2025 school year are here! I am writing this final installation from the hotel in Chicago as the 8th graders and their chaperones are resting up from a full first day of our trip to the windy city. The staff and students that made the trip have handled themselves very well on the first day and I am looking forward to a great day two, much like I am looking forward to some fun events that will close up our school year. At this point in our year, our 8th graders have all but transitioned to high school and our 6th/7th graders are ready to assume their new positions as 7th and 8th grders in the Junior High.
Big events that were once on the distant horizon have now happened for the staff and students of BMS. 7th Grade students that had all A's, B's, and Cs in the 3rd quarter made their trip to a Toledo MudHens game. It was another beautiful day at the park for our kids and for some it was their first time at a professional game in a "big park." As mentioned, the 8th Grade class took their annual trip to Chicago on May 8 and 9 and had a great trip to a cool, but dry Windy City. Our 6th graders dodged rain showers to have an enjoyable day of outdoor activities at Camp Palmer on Monday May 5th for a day full of outdoor activities and still have a great day with Kindergarteners in the park at the Imagination Station on May 20 on their schedule. 8th graders will be hearing from our Seniors as they relay some of their best experiences and lessons from their time at BHS on Monday May 19. Finally, as our high school students are taking exams on May 21-23, our BMS students will be enjoying the final three days of school with reward assemblies, a Top Ten % assembly, and time out of the building. The end of the year got here fast and with it comes great activities and time to celebrate the successes of the school year.
If you look below in the Announcements and News of Interest section you will see some important dates and events that are coming up soon at BMS.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me or any staff at BMS. We are happy to help in any way we can.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO EVERY DAY AND ALL YEAR TO MAKE THIS A GREAT PLACE TO TEACH FOR THE 6-8 STAFF!

As our high school students are taking exams on May 21-23, our BMS students will be enjoying the final three days of school with assemblies and other activities.
BMS Students were able to vote for classmates for things like Best Smile, Best Athlete, Best Musician, etc for the 24-25 school year.
Our 7th & 8th grade students who are in the top 10% of their respective classes will be recognized at an assembly on the last day of school. Congratulations to all of them on their hard work!
