Understanding your role in the Chorus program helps our community to thrive in and out of the classroom at all levels: director, students, and parents!
As the Director of RHMS Chorus, Mrs. Greer is expected to:
Provide a welcoming classroom and program environment that fosters comfort, creativity, and musical success for all students
Respond to student and parent communication within 48 hours
Communicate with students regularly through Google Classroom and in class
Communicate with parents regularly through Google Classroom, Remind, and the ROAR bi-weekly newsletter
Plan, organize, and run performances that are free and open to the public and allow students to showcase their musical mastery
As a middle school Chorus parent, your support is integral to the musical success of your student!
Faithfully attend your student's concerts with your best audience etiquette - your presence and attention mean so much to your student and me
Check email and Remind regularly for the ROAR newsletter and updates
Help your student cross-reference the Chorus calendar with the rest of your family's schedules, and communicate any potential conflicts as soon as possible
Get involved with your student's learning - ask your student to perform what they know for you with their practice files in Google Classroom, ask them to teach you how to sight-read, anything to keep them singing and learning in and out of the classroom!
