Observations / Journal Entries:

Day 13: September 22, 2025

Today was the first day of measurements for the plants. The rosettes started growing, but the bolts and siliques have not sprouted yet. The mutant plants have larger rosette widths than the wild type plants. The plants have not been treated yet, so there are no control or experimental group differences.

Day 17: September 26, 2025

Today, the plants were measured. All of the plants had increased rosette widths by about 0.5%. The mutant plants are still larger than the wild type plants when looking at the rosettes, but the wild type plants have sprouted bolts. There are no significant differences between all of the groups, and siliques have not grown yet.

Day 20: September 29, 2025

The plants were measured today. The wild type control plants have grown larger rosettes than the mutant plants, but all of the plants have increased rosette widths. The bolts that have already sprouted have increased in size, but there have been no new bolts that have grown.

Day 24: October 3, 2025

The plants were measured today. The wild type control plants that were largest last measurement day started to yellow and dry. All of the plants have bolts that have sprouted, but the experimental plants have a distince difference in height compared to the control plants. Siliques have started to develop on some of the mutant plants.

Day 27: October 6, 2025

The plants were measured today. There are no significant differences between the rosette diameters between all of the plants. The rosettes growth has slowed, and they are continuing to yellow and dry. Some of the bolts have started to bend and fall due to top-weight. Siliques have grown in for all of the plants.

Day 31: October 10, 2025

Today was the last day of measurements for the plants. Most of the rosettes have browned and dried. The diameters of the rosettes have not grown much, if at all. The bolts have grown tall, and silique count increased, with a few falling off.
