Today, the rosette widths were measured. The plants have not been growing for long, so there are no bolts and the rosettes are still very small. Today was the first day of treatment with the urea solution, so the experimental and control plants do not have any major differences from each other yet.
Today, all of the plant's rosette widths and bolt heights were measured. The mutant control plants started bolting, but the rest of the plants have not. All of the plants have tricomes on their rosette leaves and bolt stems. Both of the mutant plant groups have wider rosettes than the wild type plants.
Today, all of the plant's rosette widths and bolt heights were measured. Most of the plants have started bolting, and the rosettes are continuing to grow. There are no siliques yet, but they are expected to start growing soon. It seem that all of the wild type plants are growing better than the mutant plants.
Today, the rosette widths, bolt heights, and silique counts were measured. It was noticed that the first siliques have started growing. The wild type control plants had the most siliques and wild type experimental had the least siliques. The rosettes and bolts on all of the plants are continuing to grow larger. The control groups appear to be smaller than their experimental groups in size, but they are producing a larger number of siliques.
Day 24 - Wild Type Plants
Day 24 - Mutant Plants
Today, all of the plant's rosette widths, bolt heights, and silique counts were measured. The plants are starting to yellow, but there is still a small increase in growth for most of the plants. Some of the plants, especially the mutant plants, are turning purple, which means the plant is stressed. Most of the plants have developed a larger number of siliques, as well as taller bolts and wider rosettes.
Day 27 - Wild Type Plants
Day 27 - Mutant Plants
Today the was last day of measurements for the plants. Overall, growth has slowed for the plants, and all of the wild type plant's rosettes are very yellow and starting to brown. Most of the rosettes on the mutant experimental plants are purple or yellow. Siliques are starting to fall off of the bolt, and flowering is slowing.
