The alphabet is an incredibly important invention because of its insane versatility, and the fact that the entire world would be different without it. If we didn't have the alphabet, then we wouldn't be able to tell what's in anything from this website to something as simple as a shirt tag. Everything would be different without the alphabet, because we wouldn't know half of the things we do now, and we also wouldn't be able to do virtually anything we do in the modern world.

The alphabet was a tool originally designed to keep records, mainly debt. It was given to people who learned it for a career, called scribes. People created the alphabet for debt because of multiple overpays and liars attempting to collect more money than they were owed. Many people got tired of this, so they created an alphabet to keep track of debts paid so nobody was scammed on their debts. This worked so well that people then began to take records, which is how we know about many major events in history.
What Impact did the alphabet have on the Fertile Crescent?
The alphabet was invented for record keeping in the early 1800’s B.C. and was one of the most advanced inventions of its time. It was originally designed for scribes to keep records, mainly for debt, but also important events that happened in history. The scribe’s jobs were to make sure debts were paid once, not twice or even three times, and to keep records of everything that happened, like an assassination or a war or battle. The alphabet gave many people jobs and careers that they likely never would have thought about! The alphabet created a strong impact on these scribes lives and everyone else's around them. Without the alphabet, my life, your life, and the lives of everyone else in the world would be completely different, and likely not in a good way.

How did the Alphabet impact other Civilizations?
This innovation is so historically important because without it, nobody in the world would have the same daily life that they do now. The alphabet has affected past civilizations, current civilizations, and likely future civilizations too. Many inventions have been changed over the years, like wells, boats, cars, and much, much more, but the alphabet hasn't. The reason for this? Because it is so crucially important and easy that it doesn't need to be changed. The alphabet is a tool so simple, yet one so vitally important to our civilizations, that nobody wants to mess with it and risk damaging what we have!
