The Entrance Page - All students must contribute to the Entrance Page. It should contain between 300 and 400 words of text, and should present all of the following information:
A general introduction that includes the information about the location, geography and general history of the civilization or time period that the website will present, using in text citations or reference phrases as needed. (According to..., As found in...)
A timeline of significant events for that civilization or time period (2 events per student)
A list of all museum rooms, with FIRST NAME ONLY of the "curators" of each rooms, and brief descriptions of what can be found in each room. This section should also contain hyperlinks to each of the site's rooms.
Significant images that represent the civilization or time period being featured on the site, with identification numbers and captions explaining the images.
3 to 5 links to other websites/resources with related information and why a visitor might find them interesting
Introduction
Ancient Egypt is located in northern Africa, next to the Saudi Arabian pennisula and the Medditeranian Sea. Egypt has a dry and hot cliamate, summers are very hot and winters are mild.
The ancient Egyptian civilization first started around 3100 B.C.E.. Many different things were invented during that time. Some of these inventions include types of medicine, mathematics, irrigation, calendar, mummification, papyrus, and the pyramids. The inventions of the ancient Egyptians have had a large impact on the rest of the world.
