Overview of our 3D Printing Service
The Multimedia Labs believes everyone should have access to 3D printing technology and we will train you how to use our printers, no experience is necessary! Here is some quick info about our service:
We have 4 Prusa MK3s 3D printers located in our Physical Media Lab and available for use by trained members.
We currently provide marble (light gray with specks) PLA filament free of charge and users can only use our filament.
Printers are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
We ask that you consider other members needs when deciding how much to print.
Print jobs must be submitted from the Granoff MML Lab. No Remote Printing

3D Printer Training
Our 3D printing trainings are now fully in-person!
No prior experience with 3D printing is required. We will work with you to develop your skills!
Trainings will take 30-45 mins and you will receive swipe access to the PML 24-48 hrs upon completion.
3D printing training only allows you to use the 3D printers. Other equipment in the PML requires its own trainings.

Where to find 3D models
There are so many places to find 3D models that you can print! Remember that we recommend using .STL files as part of our service because they are usually reliable for 3D printing. Here are few site with great models:
Thingiverse: general, all-around good repository
Thangs: innovative repository with AR preview and collaboration features
Prusa: respected communtiy, alot of technical/functional models
Sketchfab: Excellent place to upload, share, embed your own models. More of a market place to buy or sell high-end models.
