With RI school and daycare closures, many providers are scrambling to figure out childcare in order to continue to provide care. We are asking for volunteers to provide emergency back up childcare (as well as petcare/errands) support when care falls through.
If you are able to help, please consider signing up here.
All volunteers will also need signed liability forms and photos of student IDs. Please email these to Ben_Pallant@brown.edu
Please note this opportunity is currently only for Brown students.

Telemedicine
Care New England (CNE) needs our help as they transition to telemedicine care. They are specifically looking for students for two projects:
Help providers transition to telemedicine and call visits (in-person volunteering may be required)
Help reconfigure provider schedules and call patients about upcoming appointments (remote volunteering)
Coordinator: taylor_freeburg@brown.edu
Occupational Health
CNE's Occupational Health has reached out for volunteers to assist with employee contact tracing. Right now, we are looking for 1-2 volunteers who are willing to go in-person to CNE's occupational health to help develop an online system to record employee contact tracing. This opportunity does not involve any patient contact.
Please sign up here to volunteer.
After the online system has been set up, will be seeking remote volunteers to assist with calling CNE employees who have been in contact with COVID patients to determine exposure risk using a set of screening questions.

Brown Students at the Bedside has shifted social visits to social phone calls. We have residents and nurses who identify patients who could use some company and their room phone numbers can be given to students who would like to volunteer to talk with them.
