Algebra:

Pre-Algebra: Students finished the Multiplying Exponential Expressions Gizmos activity and the Dividing Exponential Expressions Gizmos activity.

Homework: Spend 10 minutes working on Basic Skills Practice Week 2 due September 28 (DATE EXTENDED) OR working on any Freckle assignments that are not completed.

Language Arts: Students will complete a Narrative Writing Story Map as they plan their stories.

Reading: Students will listen to the conclusion of our short story. They will take notes during on minor character's actions, dialogue and their own inferences. Then they will type notes on Part 4 doc.

Science: Students continued graphing their 3 Pendulum graphs and began their Pendulum conclusions

U.S. History: The Great Awakening: Discovery Ed and questions on google docs

Algebra:

Pre-Algebra: Students learned how to raise exponential expressions to a power (8.1 Lesson 3). Students worked on Classwork #1-4 and #7-12.

Homework: Spend 10 minutes working on Basic Skills Practice Week 2 due September 28 (DATE EXTENDED) OR working on any Freckle assignments that are not completed.

Language Arts: Complete Narrative Writing Story Map. Review the rubric that will be used to grade stories. This is posted in Google classroom for today and in the folder under Resources that says Narrative Writing.

Reading: There was an initial lesson on connections and schema today. Students will read their independent reading book for at least 20 minutes. They must fill out a complete row in their log when they are done.

Science: Students finished their 3 Pendulum graphs and Pendulum conclusion.

U.S. History: Navigation Acts: Discovery Education and Questions on Google Docs.

Pre-Algebra: Students practiced raising an exponential expression to a power.

Homework: Spend 10 minutes working on Basic Skills Practice Week 2 due September 28 (DATE EXTENDED) OR working on any Freckle assignments that are not completed.

Language Arts: Share Story Maps in today's Zoom, and continue working on drafts of stories.

Reading: Read aloud of The Princess... Students will read their independent book for approximately 20 minutes and fill out an entire row on their logs.

Science: Discussed the Pendulum Conclusions, types of energy seen in a Pendulum and complete Pendulum Exit Ticket.

U.S. History: Zoom: 1) quiz, 2) The Triangular Trade: Student Investigation on Discovery Ed Techbook

Pre-Algebra: Students learned how to raise a number to the power of zero (8.1 Lesson 4). Then they worked on finishing up assignments from earlier in the week.

Homework: Spend 10 minutes working on Basic Skills Practice Week 2 due September 28 (DATE EXTENDED) OR working on any Freckle assignments that are not completed.

Language Arts:

Reading: There was an initial lesson on questioning today. Students will read their independent book for approximately 20 minutes and fill out an entire row on their logs.

Science: Students completed a Potential Energy reading. They highlighted main ideas yellow and scientific examples green. They also completed the 3 questions at the end.

U.S. History: The French and Indian War: Watch video, complete reading and History Frame. All work is posted on Google Classroom.

Pre-Algebra: Students learned about negative exponents and how to change them to a positive expression. (8.1 Lesson 5). For Classwork, thee completed a worksheet practicing applying negative exponents.

Homework: Spend 10 minutes working on Basic Skills Practice Week 2 due September 28 (DATE EXTENDED) OR working on any Freckle assignments that are not completed.

Language Arts:

Reading: Mini lesson on epiphanies. Students will complete a pre assessment on summaries/theme after reading the conclusion of The Princess...

Science:

U.S. History: The French and Indian War: Watch video, listen to oral reading and complete You are the King Activity. All work is posted on Google Classroom.
