One-hundred-and-fifty years ago, on September 9, 1867, the Friends School at Brooklyn opened its doors to eight boys and and nine girls. Its doors have remained open for a century and a half, educating generations of children in the Quaker tradition in Downtown Brooklyn, now with over 900 students. Dear BFS Friends,
Welcome to another Brooklyn Friends School Year and to the BFS Athletics Program. I hope that everyone is excited about the upcoming school year. We encourage all BFS students to be a part of the program and represent BFS as a student-athlete by joining the BFS athletic teams during the school year.
We currently offer 37 teams during the fall, winter, and spring seasons for grades 7-12.
There are currently 20 Upper School teams and 17 Middle School (grades 7/8) teams.
