Village closet-
Expectant mothers, grandparents, caregivers and foster parents in need can now access free essential items for their babies (0 to 1).
“We are thrilled to launch the Village Closet as a way to support caregivers in our communities. By providing essential items, we hope to alleviate some of the financial stress associated with having a new baby.” -says Stephanie, RN, public health nurse.
The Village Closet is accepting donations of new or like-new items. Individuals interested in donating can drop off items between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. the first Monday of each month at Public Health. This timeframe allows a team member to inspect each item and ensure it is safe and clean for the next family.
Schedule an appointment by calling (641) 236-2385, option 3 or emailing dm_village_closet@unitypoint.org.
