Farm Bureau
Farm Bureau offers scholarship opportunities for graduating students. We would like you to share this opportunity with them. Students must be interested in majors in the ag field, however cases can also be made for those hoping to use their other profession choices (finance, health care, education, etc.) to enhance their community or rural Iowa. Scholarship applications with online submission by Jan. 31, 2024. Applications include an essay, transcripts and 2 letters of reference, which will be uploaded to the website with the completed application.

Application Program Guidelines
Eligibility:
1. Application must be submitted through the online Iowa Farm Bureau portal. See link in this email.
2. Students must complete the application and upload required documents by
the deadline:
Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
3. Students or a parent/guardian must be a current Farm Bureau member and reside in Iowa.
4. Applicants must apply in the county where the Farm Bureau membership is held. If he/she has a membership in more than one county – the application can only be submitted to one county Farm Bureau office within the state of Iowa. For more information and to become a member go to www.iowafarmbureau.com/join.
5. Students must be in good standing with the county Farm Bureau and the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF).
6. Students must be a graduating high school student with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on 4.0 scale or equivalent. College and graduate students are not eligible to apply.
7. Current cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) is required.
8. Students must be accepted into an accredited institution of higher education (i.e., Technical College, Junior College, Community College, College or University).
9. Must be seeking a major and/or minor in an ag-related field or one that will support rural Iowa.
10. Students must be involved in school activities (i.e., 4-H, FFA, Honor Society, Student Council, etc.).
11. Students must demonstrate leadership abilities, community involvement and volunteer efforts.
12. Students must submit an essay outlining commitment to agriculture and rural Iowa (not to exceed 1,000 words).
13. Current high school transcripts are required; a signature by an authorized school official or identified with a school seal/logo is preferred.
14. Two-character reference letters from teachers, counselors, community leaders or clergy are required.
