We recommend familiarising yourself with the contents of the Programme Handbook and Apprenticeship Roadmap as they contain key information about the curriculum, learning and assessments.
The Google chat groups can be used for peer-to-peer discussions and to raise any straightforward queries which may be affecting your year group or the wider apprenticeship cohort. The [EXTERNAL] Arch Apps Google Chat is accessible to the whole apprenticeship cohort and programme team. In addition, there is a google chat group for each year group.
Briefs and feedback will be shared via Google Classroom. You will also be invited to submit your work via Google Classroom
Key documents and updates will be shared by the programme team via email. If you have any queries regarding support, Aptem, off-the-job hours or documentation please email tde-apprenticeships@brookes.ac.uk. For any individual academic concerns please email your supervisor/ module lead.
Once the brief has been shared, please add any queries relating to the pre-req/ intensive requirements to the Q+A sheet. The programme team will provide written responses on the Q+A sheet, clarifications can be sought at the fortnightly drop-in sessions (see below). Adding questions to the Q+A sheet allows the whole cohort to view the responses.
Each fortnight a member of the programme team will host a 30 min informal drop-in session which is an opportunity for learners to ask any questions relating to the apprenticeship programme. Typically these meetings are held at 9.30am on Wednesday mornings, please see Arch Apps Google Calendar
In the weeks before each intensive teaching period, employers are invited to attend the quarterly Mentors meeting. An invite will be shared in the weeks before each Mentor meeting. Dates and proposed agenda can be found on the Apprenticeships Events and Activities page
Progress Review meetings are an essential part of the apprenticeship programme. They take place every 3 months and involve the apprentice, academic tutor and the workplace mentor/ supervisor. The Skills Coach (Apprenticeship) will invite the apprentice to sign-up for a progress review meeting. It is the learner's responsibility to liaise with their practice mentor/ supervisor to identify a convenient date/ time. For further information please see the Progress Review Meetings page
A tutorial with your academic supervisor is scheduled in-between the brief being released and the start of the next intensive. A sign-up sheet will be shared in the weeks before the supervision sessions take place. Workplace mentors are welcome to attend.
Each year the programme team organise walks. These site visits are a great opportunity to meet with apprentice colleagues and the academic team. To register for the walks please see click here

At the end of each academic year learners will be invited to complete and submit an evaluation of the modules/ Part 3 via the anonymous Module Evaluation forms. We assure you that your feedback has no impact on your marks and encourage you to be honest. The programme team need constructive feedback to enable them to develop and continuously improve the programme. The results of the evaluations are discussed as part of the Subject Committee meetings, with the Apprentice Representatives present. We strongly advise to coordinate feedback with your working group and establish communication with the Core Team to continue building on the achievements of your predecessors, who contributed to make the programme what it is today.
The PTES survey for graduating postgraduate learners is the externally run process for providing feedback on your whole University experience. The results of the PTES survey are reviewed annually in the Annual Quality Monitoring Report produced by the academic teams and reviewed by the University Committees. In October of each year, line managers and workplace mentors will be invited to complete an employer survey. We would encourage employers to engage with this process as the feedback provided informs the annual review process and improvement action plan
As part of the Gateway Review process apprentices and workplace mentors are invited to reflect on the impact the apprenticeship has had on their career as well as providing feedback on the programme.
