The social, cultural and economic lives of the Ancient Egyptians are explored in this learning resource for primary school pupils. Among many activities are opportunities for pupils to discuss: the social structures that operated; the art of communicating through symbols; and the designing of currency.

Central to this primary school resource is learning through the senses. Tea from around the world can be experienced by smelling aroma boxes. Tea ceremonies can be learnt about and performed. Traditional songs are explored and prompted to be sung, including 'I'm a Little Tea Pot'. Also, a 'Talking mug' encourages all pupils to offer their thoughts to discussions by indicating whose turn it is to talk.
