What are Short Term Projects?
Nightly, weekly homework
Problem sets, out-of class reading, notes
Any regularly scheduled assignment that doesn't take more than about 1 week
How you should manage your time when it comes to short term projects:
It depends on the type of person you are. Many people like to chunk their project into different parts and do a certain amount per day. However, this does not work for everybody as an after school commitment could force you to do more on other days. As long as you start a few days prior to its due date your work will turn out much better than if you procrastinated.
In the age of technology, there are many websites/apps that can keep you on track and lead to you getting your work done. The reminder app on your mobile phone works great for keeping you on task, or the google calendar website which can help organize how much work you do each day. For other people, a notebook, or a paper calendar is the best way to stay on top of the project that is due!
When you get to high-school, the level of content gets harder, and what the teachers expect from you also increases. In other words, though it can be hard to fix old habits of procrastination, the more time you put into your work the better the quality it will be. Furthermore, if you started your project the night before it was due and realized you did not have all the right materials, or you had a question about it, you would be in a tough situation as you would not be able to talk to your teacher about it the next morning.
