This can be done in a spreadsheet, planner, or a plain piece of paper
Write in any scheduled events for the day (examples: tutoring, track meet, family dinner, walk the dog)
Check your assignment list for upcoming due dates- assessments, projects, or homework
Separate into blocks 45 minutes to an hour, with five minute breaks in between (get a snack or drink, wander through your house, maybe check on a family member)
Put the most pressing (and perhaps most difficult) tasks first, so that you can progress to easier work as the day goes on (it will be much more pleasant)
If you find yourself getting bored of studying, get some fresh air or take a longer break (1+ hour) so you can feel refreshed when you get back to work
Notion is a online planning app that allows you to integrate a calendar, multiple classes as well as tasks and to-do lists all in one place. Use the template created for you below to try it out and customize your own online planner.
This is a screenshot of a google sheet I made to help organize my week. I try to list all of my assignments organized by due date and also include an estimate on how long it will take me to do them. Then, on the right, I write a loose schedule of my afternoon. I also include checkboxes everywhere because I find it really helpful mentally to check off things that I did, even if it was really easy.
The above is a blank, interactive template that you can update daily/weekly to help plan your time. When you complete a task and check the box, conditional formatting will cross out your item like a to-do list, and change the background to gray.

X block and Extra help are perfect times to get ahead on assignments and ask teachers for help. If you are having trouble on some homework or maybe you have a question about an upcoming test/project, extra help in the morning can relieve your stress and be that extra step that will help you achieve your ideal grades. Also if you were sick and missed a few days of class, extra help is a great time to get that make-up work from teachers. The same case can be made for X-block too, however X-block is a longer time period so if you need help with a lesson that you missed or one you are confused about, this is the perfect time to get some help!
