Parents' Evenings

Parents’ evenings are a great opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher and make sure everyone is aware of the progress your child is making, as well as of their strengths and potential areas for growth, so that your family can benefit fully from a BSM education. This online approach offers flexibility to parents who may be travelling or who may have work or family commitments for when the event is scheduled.  Parents' evenings run online from 3.30pm - 6.30pm.

• Year  7 : Tuesday, 20 February 2024 (sign up will be open from 7 Feb due to half term)

You can access the  Parent Meeting system here: 

To login you will need to enter:

• Your email

• Your child’s first name, surname and date of birth
  (These details must EXACTLY match those we have on record for you. Please check the Parent Portal to confirm the data we have on record. ) 

Why are we staying online?

Our online Parents Meeting system offers the same 5-minute meeting times as our previous face-to-face meetings. Online parent meetings also offer privacy, accurate meeting times and flexibility for parents who are unable to attend physical meetings at the BSM site, due to work, travel or family commitments. This has led to a better overall experience for many parents, students and staff.

Any parents who would like to meet with their child's teacher and have a deeper discussion in person or via a phone call, should contact the Senior School Office and we will be happy to set up a meeting.

Internet Browser Compatibility

You must use one of the below device and internet browser combinations for the video meeting technology to work:

• Apple iPhone/iPad (iOS 11+): Safari

• Android phone/tablet: Chrome or Firefox

• Linux computer: Chrome or Firefox

• Microsoft Surface: Chrome or Firefox

• Mac computer: Safari, Chrome or Firefox

• Windows computer: Chrome, Firefox or Edge (Chromium)

Troubleshooting sign up

• To login you need to enter the details we have on record for you and your child. If you have recently changed your title or surname, for example, and not informed us, we will be expecting you to login with the details we have on record. Please check the Parent Portal to confirm the data we have on record.

• If you have several children to make bookings for, and decide not to use the Booking Wizard, but instead make appointments individually, use the ‘Change Child’ button on the blue bar (above the school’s name) in the very top left corner of the Parent’s Booking Page to swap between your children.

• You need to click on the link or type the address into your website browser’s ‘address bar’ (http://www.parents-booking.co.uk/britishschoolmuscat). Do not try to ‘Google’ this website address or use a search engine as that will not work. This is a common mistake on phones and tablets especially.

Troubleshooting video calls

“The user did not give permission to access your media”  This often means the internet browser is blocking access to the webcam. Look at your internet browser’s web  address bar and check if the video symbol is ‘blocked’. If it is, unblock and refresh the web page.
