BRICK Networks Talent Team has established a partnership with two substitute sourcing companies. Campuses are only able to request substitutes for a vacancy, long-term leave, or occasional daily absence. Any questions should be directed to the talent team at hr@brickeducation.org
The processes for getting into the Substitute systems (Pre) and once in the system are detailed below.
Schools have a limited substitute budget that is only for occasional absences. If a substitute is covering a long term vacancy, that funding comes from a different budget line.
To ensure schools are using their substitute funding correctly, when requesting a substitute, you must select "Vacancy" if the substitute is covering for a vacant position. If a name is selected or "roving classroom substitute" is selected, that signals the coverage is for an occasional absence.
BRICK Networks Substitute Process (Prior to Accessing Systems)
Prior to requesting substitutes, a campus must develop their substitute orientation plan. The orientation plan is a one-pager that details the information below. This info is shared with all substitutes coming on site.
Welcome & Campus Norms
Substitute Daily Procedures (i.e. report where, who to talk to, parking, etc.)
Directions for behavioral challenges
Dress policy for campus
Expectation for substitute during PD or prep times
Observational expectations (i.e. what do you expect to observe the substitute doing)
