PERCUSSION Ensemble

All percussionists in the band program are enrolled in a percussion-only class at Broad Run. The goal of this class is to develop well-rounded percussion students. This includes competency on keyboard instruments, timpani, snare, and various auxiliary percussion. Techniques for all of these are taught throughout the school year. Students in this class perform with either Symphonic Band or Wind Ensemble at the discretion of the director. This class will also perform percussion-only pieces in both the Fall and Spring concerts.

This class is offered as either an Honors level or Academic level class and no experience is required to join this class.
