Explain Everything

Explain Everything is an interactive whiteboard application. It, in effect, makes your IWB mobile, if a little (lot!) smaller. At present, teachers have access to the collaborative version with gives you the option of 'live sharing' your board. While students have access to the basic version that does not offer this facility. I have used Explain Everything to produce instructional videos that I then share with students via GC and have asked students to do the same to assess their understanding of economic diagrams and models. EE is a very powerful tool that has a large number of features that may overwhelm a beginner, however, once confidence has been built I highly recommend trying to produce your own videos and let students 'have a play' in class. I have tried using EE to assess student work because it allows you to attach the mark scheme and record your writing and voice. Although this does extend the marking process, it does offer teachers the opportunity to provide powerful feedback.
