All teachers expect students to complete work on time. When there are exceptional circumstances, students may turn work in late within 5 school days of the original due date. Students wishing to submit late work, revisions, or make-up work are expected to follow these steps:
Speak with the teacher as soon as possible after the original due date has passed.
Meet with the teacher to establish a Late Work Contract. The Late Work Contract is a plan for how and when the student will complete the assignment(s) and avoid late work in the future. (Print a late work contract HERE - digital requests will not be approved - printed requests only)
Attend any Knight Academy or after-school tutorial sessions as identified in the Late Work Contract.
Turn the assignment(s) in by the agreed-upon date, no later than 5 days after the original due date.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR AP CAPSTONE: The College Board determines the final submission date of April 30th by 8:59pm for all components of the Performance Task. This is NOT a flexible deadline and students who do not submit by the deadline will not receive an official Advanced Placement exam score for the course. In order to assist students in meeting this deadline, it is essential that they practice meeting deadlines throughout the year, and Late Work procedures and contracts will be strictly enforced.
