Mrs. Atkins
Hello!
My name is Amanda Atkins, and I am proud to be a second grade teacher in Panda Land! This is my 18th year as a teacher, and it's my 11th year to teach at Polk! Growing up, I attended Ney Elementary, Clute Intermediate and Brazoswood High School! It's pretty awesome to teach in the district that I grew up in! I also attended Brazosport College and the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
Family
My husband, Jared, and I have four kids: Larkin (22), Logan (13), Grace (11) and Carter (8)! When we're not watching our kids play sports, we like to camp and relax at home (we rarely have spare time!)
My Favorites
Food: Mexican food, seafood, chinese food; cheeseburger and fries with a chocolate shake!
Dessert: Chewy brownie with vanilla icecream on top; peach cobbler; banana pudding
Drink: Iced Caramel Macchiato and many other sweet coffee drinks; Sonic lemonade
Color: Turquoise and olive green
Downtime Activity: Resale shopping, watching movies, working in the yard
Things: Plants, nature, animals, soft blankets to cuddle up in
