Academic Enrichment Program

What is the JS Academic Enrichment Program?

The JS Academic Enrichment Program, launched in 2020, is designed to offer students in Grades 2-5 the opportunity to engage in a variety of academic pursuits, participate in friendly competitions, provide chances for students to be risk-takers, and challenge students academically. All students in Grades 2-5 are eligible to participate, and they may choose to take part in all, some, or none of the challenges.

The Academic Enrichment Program includes seven challenges throughout the year: the 40 Book Challenge, Spelling Bee, Math Challenge, Coding Challenge, Debate Competition, Speech Competition, and Science Fair. Scroll down to find out more information about each challenge and sign up for the challenges.

40 Book Challenge

The 40 Book Challenge aims to encourage students from G2 to G5 to read a wide range of books across different genres and to complete different activities to show their understanding of what they are reading.

Science Fair

The science fair is a wonderful opportunity to pique students’ curiosity, capture their interest, and motivate their continued study in science. The insights thus gained help them recognize that the work of scientists is a creative endeavor—one that has deeply affects the world they live in. Students may then recognize that science can contribute to meeting many of the major challenges that confront society today.
