600 DD2

**At the end of 2022, as a result of the ongoing helium allotments and rising helium costs, we de-energized the 600 MHz magnet.  We are pursuing funding for a helium-recovery system and hope one day soon we will be able to reenergize.

The 600 DD2 is housed in the basement of Edison-Lecks, Room 11 (Bay 3).  It is a 4-channel DirectDrive console  equipped with  pulse shaping, pulsed field gradients and a triple resonance cold probe (1H {13C,15N}).  The DD2 console was installed in 2012 (HHMI, D. Kern, PI).  The original INOVA console and 600 MHz magnet were installed in August 1999 (purchased under NSF MRI program, DBI9871130, T. C. Pochapsky, PI).

The system is scheduled weekly and is heavily used by the Kern research group for dynamic studies of biomolecules.

The computer is accessible remotely at meiboomj.nmr.brandeis.edu.   Current software is Vnmrj 4.2A.  Current rates for spectrometer usage are listed.
