The Pedagogical College systematically holds informative meetings with veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, who explain to students how to act in dangerous situations, how to provide first aid, and introduce them to the rules of self-preservation, overcoming panic, maintaining psycho-emotional state and mental health during the war, and the rules for handling explosive devices.
Members of the labor collective and students regularly participate in honoring the blessed memory of the fallen Heroes who defended the borders of Ukraine and defended the territorial integrity and independence of our country with arms during the Russian-Ukrainian war. Every year, in the spring, the Balta Pedagogical Professional College hosts military all-around competitions, which are the most important component of the All-Ukrainian military-patriotic game Sokil (Dzhura). The competitions are held among the first- and second-year students of professional pre-higher and first-year students of the first bachelor's degree.
August 29 is the date of the Ilovaisk tragedy, when at least 368 Ukrainian soldiers were killed. Every year, starting in 2019, the memory of the fallen servicemen and volunteers of Ukraine is honored on this day. The team of teachers and staff of the Balta Pedagogical Professional College took part in laying flowers to the memorial plaque and honored the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.
