BPSU holds investiture rites for 3rd prexy Santos-Matibag

Bataan Peninsula State University formally conferred leadership to its third university president, Dr. Ruby B. Santos-Matibag on investiture rites held earlier, July 31.

Santos-Matibag shared her aspirations for the university, anticipating support and dedication from Peninsulares community to materialize the agendas that she mentioned.

“I guess I have made unpopular decisions since day one of my assumption to office. Yet today, we are harvesting the fruits of the unpopular decisions I have made,” Santos-Matibag said.

It can be remembered that Santos-Matibag assumed her presidential post on April 23 this year, succeeding former University President Gregorio R. Rodis.

Meanwhile, she also presented her report regarding the state of the university, 100 days under her administration, highlighting academic achievements of students and faculty, new partnerships with various institutions, community outreach and extension projects, plantilla items processing for employees — among others.

Moreover, she revealed the proposed-five year master plan development for the university, adding new infrastructures and facilities in each campus.

“Nothing has been proven yet. This is definitely less than what I’m dreaming for BPSU. The best is yet to come. Join me in my journey to transform BPSU into a responsive, inclusive, and sustainable educational center for all Bataeños,” she ended. | via Virginia Mae M. Constante
