WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF THE BPSU MAIN CAMPUS EXTENSION AND TRAINING SERVICES OFFICE
To equip TLE teachers of the DepEd Balanga City, DSWD and the Division of Bataan with teaching skills, knowledge, attitudes and strategies on how to facilitate competency based education leading to TESDA National Certification. To train teachers on various technology and livelihood skills leading to National Certification in different qualifications; To develop creativity of teachers; and To develop entrepreneurship among participants for possible business endeavors.
Background
Some of the teachers who used to teach Technology and Livelihood Education subjects in Elementary, Junior High and Senior High School in the division of Bataan were not sufficiently equipped with technical know-how in different fields of specialization. Most of them have a little knowledge of everything which is applicable only in Grades 4 to 8 where TLE subjects are exploratory. In the case of Grades 9 to 10, major shops are to be implemented and for Grades 11 to 12, TVL track in particular, teachers need to have an advanced knowledge in their field of expertise. TLE teachers are looking for possible ways to further enhance their skills leading to National Certification and at the same time can be an avenue to step up on their ranks during credential evaluation.
It is the aim of the project to equip the interested TLE teachers with sufficient knowledge, skills and attitude in order to facilitate learning effectively, to undergo National Assessment leading to National Certification and to help the teachers to step up their ranks.
Impact
After the completion of the training program, participants are expected to:
acquire and enhance Technological and Livelihood knowledge and skills;
develop competence in the different teaching qualifications; and
develop a sense of entrepreneurship that may lead to a business venture which is also an aim geared toward development of entrepreneurial spirit among their students.
