The Bataan Peninsula State University is mandated with four functions: instruction, research, extension and production. Being a state university, it is mandated to engross in extension and training programs to help elevate the economic condition of the communities it serves through sustainable development. In consonance with the university’s vision and mission, it shall empower the community members by providing the necessary training for the transfer of technology that its various programs offer.

The 2021 PRESIDENTIAL LINGKOD BAYAN (PLB) AWARD was conferred to the Bataan Peninsula State University Hope Behind Bars Project by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) last December 27, 2021. The PLB is the most prestigious and most coveted award that is conferred to outstanding government employees in the Philippines. This recognition is given to an individual or group of individuals for exceptional or extraordinary contributions resulting from an idea or performance that had nationwide impact on public interest, security and patrimony.
