This extension project aims to provide the Farmers of Sitio Lorta, Lalawigan, Samal, Bataan with technical skills on solar powered irrigation system which they can use in propagating their agricultural harvest or products.
Background
Most Farmers in the Philippines were included in the poorest of poor. Bataan Farmers have limited sources of income, and worst many have no sources at all. Their livelihood is mostly on farming which provide them with everyday food on their tables. BPSU has been helping community in increasing their harvest and make their lives more comfortable.
Their farm serves as their source of food and income. To be able to increase their harvest as well as their income, application of new technology like solar PV system to irrigation system can bring bigger impact to their agricultural livelihood.
